There are 15 autocephalous churches, but the autocephaly of the 15th has not been universally recognised and accepted.<br />

The heads of each of the autocephalous churches have different titles, depending upon the size, age and venerability of each Church, and also depending upon whether the custom follows a "Russian" or a "Constantinopolitan" manner.<br />
