An autocephalous Orthodox Church is an independent regional Orthodox Church.

There are 15 autocephalous churches, but the autocephaly of the 15th has not been universally recognised and accepted.

The heads of each of the autocephalous churches have different titles, depending upon the size, age and venerability of each Church, and also depending upon whether the custom follows a "Russian" or a "Constantinopolitan" manner.

In the sub-categories are listed the dioceses or parishes in Canada (in particular) which belong to these "mother-churches".
