Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Canada

The Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Canada was established in 1984 by decision of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Church of Serbia. There had been a presence of Serbians and of Serbiah parishes in Canada since the early 1900s, but the numbers were insufficient unil 1984 to support a diocesan structure.
Bishop Georgije (Ðjokić) was the first bishop of this diocese.
The second bishop of the diocese was Bishop Mitrofan (Kodić) (from 2016).
